Biking Iran In 10 Days , Shiraz to Persian Gulf

From Shiraz and  Ancient Persepolis to Silk Road ‘s Splendid desert city of Yazd and Zein Al Din Caravansary , with a wonderful end in Qeshm Island must  bring meaningful  experiences of ancient Persians’ history and culture  along with amazing adventures of desert and sea. 

Destinations: Shiraz – Persepolis – Abarkouh – Yazd – Sirjan – Bandar Abbas – Qeshm

Day 01: Shiraz, arrival day

You can fly directly from Istanbul or Dubai to Shiraz or fly Tehran and have night train to Shiraz. Arrive Shiraz, Check in and rest. Have Shiraz city tour, including Nasir Al Molk Mosque, Karim Khan citadel, Vakil Bath, Mosque and Bazaar, Eram garden and Hafez tomb.  Shiraz overnight.

Day 02: Shiraz – Persepolis – Abarkouh

Head north out of Shiraz on the main highway towards Marvdasht, continue to Persepolis and Nagsh –e – Rostam (65 Km). Visit these UNESCO’s World Heritage. Then Continue by supported car to Abarkouh. Abarkouh is famous for being as a desert city on Silk Road and also for its Ice house and oldest tree Cypress. Overnight at Abarkouh.

 Day 03: Abarkouh – Yazd

Start Biking toward Iran splendid desert city, UNESCO heritage Yazd City. Bike to Deh Shir about 70 km, stop for lunch, then continue by car to Yazd. Yazd overnight.

Day 04: Yazd

Have Yazd city tour, wander through the narrow streets of Yazd’s Old Town with your guide to lead the way. In the afternoon you are free to explore the ancient city at leisure. Afterwards, a good option is to visit the Jame Mosque of Yazd and Amir Chakhmaq Complex. This ancient desert city was a major stop on the caravan routes to Central Asia and India during the Silk Road period – Marco Polo visited the city on his way to China – and it still retains a rustic atmosphere today. Yazd is also the heart of the Zoroastrian religion.

Day 05:  Yazd – Sirjan

Cycle to Zein Al Din caravansary, then continue to Sirjan by Supported car. Sirjan overnight.

Day 06:Sirjan- Bandar Abbas – Qeshm

Drive to Bandar Abbas to go to amazing Qeshm Island by ferry Boat. Overnight Qeshm Island.

Day 07: Qeshm Island

Riding toward Kharbas caves, Stars valley & Naaz Island In southern coasts. Qeshm Island overnight.

Day 08: Qeshm Island

Transfer to Sooza, biking toward Laft town, Watching Dolphins, visiting the fascinating architecture of Laft and returning to the hotel.

Day 09: Qeshm Island

Transferring from the hotel to Harra sea forests, boat riding, biking along the shore toward Dargahan (24 km), biking toward Qeshm (18 km), sightseeing and accommodation in hotel.

Day 10: Qeshm Island, Departure day

This day is departure free day, you can return via Dubai or have domestic flight to Tehran and fly back home from Tehran.

You will cycle around 30-70 km/a day. Information listed in the itinerary are a guide to the approximate distances cycled each day. However, this may vary depending on the physical capabilities of the group, and changes to local conditions. For safety reasons we only cycle during daylight hours, so there may be some early morning starts. We take regular rest breaks throughout cycling days.
