Northwest Alborz ends to Talysh Mountains, a green area covered with meadows and lush Hyrcanian forest, it’s a place for Talysh ethnic group that are highlanders of Guilan province. Passing through the mountains from west to east while visiting the Neor lake one of the beautiful natural attractions of Northwest Iran and meeting Talysh nomads to reach the green and scenic western part of mountains makes this tour one of highlighted hiking tours in Iran. The joyful hiking in poppy covered lands with overview of local huts and farmlands are the sceneries difficult to forget in this tour.

Destinations: Tehran – Qazvin – Ardabil – Neor Lake – Subatan Village – Fuman – Tehran 

Day 01: Tehran

Upon arrival in Tehran, you will be received by Maral Tours private driver, to transfer to your hotel in Tehran. Tehran overnight.

Day 02: Tehran – Qazvin – Alamut (150 km)

Drive to Almut to do hiking to the Hassan Sabbah’s Alamut castle. Then continue trekking to Evan Lake and scenic Gazar khan village. Drive back Qazvin. Qazvin overnight.

Day 03: Qazvin – Ardabil (435 km)

Drive to Ardabil Stop over to visit Soltaniyeh Dome (UNSCO’s World Heritage, 40 km before Zanjan). Ardabil overnight.

Day 04: Ardabil

Have a short cultural excursion to visit Syeikh Safi Alddin khangah and then go to Sarein (city of spas). Have a full relaxed day in Sarein city. Ardabil overnight.

Day 05: Ardabil – Neor Lake

Ascend to Neor Lake by car (46 km). Night camping there and enjoy its wonderful night.

Day 06: Neor Lake – Subatan village

Leaving lake toward Sobatan village, whole of the lovely route is about 20 km (origin 2450 high to destination of 1950 m). After about 5 hours hiking, stop for lunch and take rest in another beautiful valley. Then go on toward Subatan village, Subatan village overnight.

Day 07: Subatan village – Fuman (120 km)

Drive to Fuman, visit Masouleh village, a historical village located deep in forests of Alborz mountains, Masouleh is famous for its architecture, a floral village as alleys are built on house roofs. Fuman overnight.

Day 08: Fuman

Today is another adventure day to hike Rudkhan Castle that belongs to the Sassanian era and later rebuilt during the Seljuq era by the Nizari Ismailis. It’s located on forest highs in the beautiful village of Rudkhan in Fuman County. Fuman overnight.

Day 09: Fuman – Tehran

Drive to visit Gilan Rural heritage Museum, then en route to Tehran stop over Manjil to have excursion at olive shops, continue to Tehran. Tehran overnight.

Day 10: Tehran

Transfer to the airport for the flight home, or continue Iran adventure by visiting Iran’s highlighted destinations; Shiraz, Yazd, Isfahan and Kashan.
