Shemshak ski resorts situated to the north-east of Tehran, located in the majestic snowy peaks of Alborz mountains is the third largest ski area that offer a wide range of snow entertainments. It is a ninety-minute drive from the capital is the favorite ski resort for professional skiers, due to its steep slopes and tricky runs. But Shemshak is not all about pro skiers conquering one slope after another swishing by the amateurs and spectators. There are a lot of beginners who enjoy skiing at Shemshak and if there is occasional tumbling, that’s half of the fun.
It includes two chairlifts and three Surface lifts. The slopes lie at an altitude of 2,550 m to 3,050 m above sea level. The resort includes two main slopes each equipped with a chair lift that apex at the top and several lifts. There are also lighting facilities for night skiing.
