Want to experience a stay like an old traveler in the heart of the desert? In this case, you can choose Zein-o-Din Caravanserai. This historical caravanserai belonged to the Safavid era and is located in the 60th kilometer of Yazd, near Mehriz Town. One of the best advantages of this caravanserai is that you can enjoy the mysterious and dreamy night sky of the desert while you are staying.
Zein-o-Din Caravanserai is the only circled caravansary in Iran. From outside, you are only able to see a rounded shape, but from the inside, it is actually a dodecagon. To renovate this valuable monument, they used natural materials from the surrounding area to preserve its authenticity. Apart from riding camels and watching the sky night, the caravansarai itself is an attraction. Also, Jameh Mosque of Mehr Padin and the ancient cedar tree of Mehriz are other attractions nearby.
There are 33 rooms in Zein-o-Din Caravanserai.
Also a piece of good news for those who want to travel with their families! The hotel is kid-friendly. Hence, the kids under 2 years of age are free of charges. Also, the fee is half for the children between three to eight. If you are traveling with your vehicle, do not worry about the parking. You can use the spacious parking lot with a capacity of 600 vehicles.
Like other B&B accommodations in Iran, the breakfast is free in Zein-o-Din Caravanserai. Enjoy your breakfast every morning in the calm and unique atmosphere of the hotel.
If you wish to experience a trip like an adventure in old days and stay a memorable night at the beautiful deserts of Iran, Zein-o-Din Caravanserai is a good choice for you.
Yazd: A Desert Paradise, UNESCO Heritage!
Yazd is a special city in Iran and the center of modern Zoroastrianism. Yazd is considered by many the oldest one piece inhabited city in the world. Due to its unique location, this historic desert town spared destruction by earthquakes, wars and invasions (such as Genghis Khan). Taking a walk in the typical adobe desert architecture through the labyrinth of alleys is an enchanting experience. Yazd hardly knows high rise making the view from the rooftop is breathtaking, especially at dawn and at the fall of the night. The Azan call to prayer from the minarets takes you on a journey to a nostalgic past. Yazd is located on the ancient Silk Road and Marco Polo has spent a night in the Caravanserai. The old town with its traditional houses joined together is a living monument to himself. Some so-called “friendship” alleys you cannot pass each other without having to socialize with each other. Getting lost in the Old Town is not difficult. But then the minarets of the 13th century mosque Jameeh suddenly there rise above you. Perhaps a million pieces of colored mosaics adorn the façade in beautiful geometric patterns.
Yazd has many attractions including the Ateshkadeh fire temple, Dowlat Abad Persian garden, the Zoroastrian Dakhmeh silence towers, the Qanat water museum, the central Amir Chaqmaq complex, bazaar, Khan Bath and many traditional houses with Badgir wind towers, some of which now serve as boutique hotels.
Yazdis are naturally curious and like to chat with you. With respect for local traditions and customs, you can enjoy a wonderful stay in an enchanting desert city.
